About the role

Ajman University invites nominations and applications for Professor and Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Chair provides academic leadership for 18 faculty members, ~450 students, and ABET-accredited BSc and MSc programs.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and academic leadership for the department. Lead ABET accreditation cycles and quality assurance. Recruit, mentor and evaluate faculty. Grow externally funded research and industry partnerships. Teach one course per semester.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Full professorship (or clear eligibility) with 10+ years of academic experience. Demonstrated leadership as chair, program director or equivalent. Track record of funded research.
